Kyle leads the Real Estate Litigation team and has considerable experience and particular expertise in property related disputes acting for landlords and tenants of commercial and residential property and advising on all aspects of property and real estate litigation including lease renewals (both contested and uncontested) under the provisions of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954; breach of covenant including forfeiture and dilapidations claims; boundary disputes; disputes involving interference with property rights; adverse possession claims; right of way/easement disputes; disputes concerning rights of light; restrictive covenants; possession claims (including residential and trespasser); and management issues in leasehold property.
Kyle has wide experience in conducting both High Court and county court claims as well as applications to the First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) and where appropriate adopts a commercial approach to the resolution of cases by alternative dispute resolution including mediation and adjudication.
He also has experience in advising on all aspects of Construction and Building Disputes including, in particular, those involving issues relating to building defects, defective design and contractual termination.
